Cape Disappointment Light

Fog often cloaks the lighthouse nicknamed Cape D. It overlooks the Columbia River near Ilwaco, Washington—one of the most dangerous bodies of water in the world. Ships sailing these waters often crashed before Cape D was built to guide them to safety.
