Zaira Journal seeks work that is both profound and simple. We want poems that would tear our hearts and would make us think about the world around us. We believe that the process of writing poetry is a journey, an arduous journey. The poet sits on the desk, types on the keyboard, or maybe with his pen and paper casts the magical spell. However, the reality is, the writer bleeds. We know how difficult it is to craft a poem, a beautiful piece. In fact, we suffered ourselves from rejection and frustrations but still, we continue to write for we know that it is our fate to keep going. This literary journal would like to give a pat on the back. We thank you for trying, trying to share your intimate thoughts and emotions. In addition, we would also like to let you know that half of the proceeds of this journal would help the schooling of less fortunate children in the Philippines. We want to give our art to these children. We hope that our cause will rekindle the spark in your writing.Featuring works by Anjana Basu, Ace Boggess, Arbind Kumar Choudhary, PW Covington, Darren C.
