So Far from God

Octavio Carrasco is the mastermind behind Porfirio Díaz's return to power in 1884. He does not realize that this is the biggest mistake of his life. The newly-minted president betrays him almost from the moment he sits on the presidential chair again. As he scrambles to rescue Mexico from the despot he put at its helm, Octavio's greatest challenge is to save the country from the insatiable predator who wants to annex it after oil was found.
