Popular Bands and Performers

There is a great demand from the public for a handy reference work on modern music, as evidenced by Claghorn's Biographical Dictionary of American Music (1973), which went into five printings. Since hundreds of new bands and performers have appeared in the past 20 years, this update was necessary. Foreign groups are also included selectively.
