The Jesus of History as the Christ of Faith

The Jesus Seminar revived the historical search for the works and deeds of Jesus by fashioning persuasive new criteria of authenticity. Using these criteria, one is able to discern that Jesus of Nazareth was the same individual whom the early community of believers identified as the promised one, that is, the Christ.
