The Children who Stayed Alone

The six Dawson children are left alone in a sod house when their father fails to return on time from a trip for supplies and their mother is called to help tend a sick neighbor. Everything is going fine until a blizzard begins and there is a knock at the door. Who could be out at night in a snow storm?
