The scope of this supplement to Vol. 2 in the series remains the same, covering works written in English by American Indians and Alaska natives from Colonial times to 1924 and including literary works of fiction, drama, and poetry; political essays and addresses; published letters; dialect pieces; historical works; myths and legends; and other genres. Contains the works of 1,192 writers, 250 included in the original volume and 942 new. Most bibliographic entries have been annotated; citations appear for sources on biographical entries; information is provided on the periodicals searched for the bibliography.
