Sandy Nandou ditches high school and sneaks into the forbidden city of giants in search of a relic to help her dying grandmother. Without their magic bracelets, they have no protection against the radiation, disease and killer rats that came to Chicago when a city of giants crushed the downtown area ten years ago. Then Sandy meets Sean O'Malley, a handsome young magician who sees in her a potential ally to restore order to their fractured world. But not everyone wants the city of giants gone. Evil forces gather against them, and before Sandy can help Sean, she must face the truth of who she really is.
