The accomplished German painter and sculptor offers his very personal view of Berlin and New York City. Rainer Fetting has achieved international success as a painter and sculptor. This book now gives insight into a largely unknown part of the artist's work--his outstanding photographic oeuvre. The volume showcases a selection of approximately 500 photographs of which a majority has not been published before. Fetting's photographs, which stem from the 1970s to the present day, reflect an impressive evolution of our modern world. While some images focus on the art scene in Berlin's Kreuzberg district, where Rainer Fetting worked with the artist groups "Neue Wilde" and "Moritzboys," others capture the art scene of Manhattan in the 1980s when Fetting lived and worked there.
