What’s a witch-in-training going to do without any magic—especially at the end of the world?
Amanda knows there are bigger issues. Time is broken, after all. Not to mention those sudden portals that pop open, sweeping people off to other times or dimensions or… well, no one really knows because no one has ever returned from one. Hey, at least fae and magic are real! But really, stopping the world from collapsing is why she needs to learn some witchcraft. She wants to help reduce the chaos—and protect her friends.
But when a bit of experimental spell casting goes wrong, the results threaten not only lives but to tear apart the little sanctuary Amanda calls home. Wondering if it might be best if she never touches magic again, Amanda gets some encouragement and two teachers in the form of a domineering pixie and a mischievous fairy. Maybe with their help, she can unlock the magic she just knows is somewhere inside of her.
And if she does, the timing couldn’t be better. There is a need to hurry to find and neutralize the broken runes created by a shattered spell which warps time and manifests the spontaneous portals. Worse, some forces seem all too happy to use the chaos for their benefit—and humanity’s detriment.
