Bickerstaff, Lindsay, Neill, and Related Families

William Bickerstaff married Nancy Pope, and in 1720 they immigrated from England to Virginia (now West Virginia), where his will was probated in 1803. His oldest son, John(ston) Bickerstaff (1720-1800), married Sarah Cynthia Pollard in 1750, and moved from Virginia to Rowan County, North Carolina. He served in the Revolutionary War, and later moved to Franklin County, Georgia. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Missouri, Arkansas and elsewhere.
