Occupational Employment Forecasts 2003

Presents the economic background to the occupational employment projections set out in the Medium Term Review 1997-2003. These forecasts derived from the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) macroeconomic model determines the overall level of employment for 2003 and its disposition among broad sectors of the economy. Sets out the rationale underpinning the employment changes in different sectors of the economy, as well as the assumptions (both domestic and those relating to external influences) on which the overall model forecasts are founded.
