Martin Luther King, Jr. was a minister, a thinker, and a civil rights leader. He worked for peace and to ensure that the laws of the United States were fair to everyone, no matter the color of their skin. He was killed by someone who did not agree with what he was trying to do. We honor this brave and peaceful man each year in January. This biography celebrates his life.
