Blake Stone is a homicide detective for the Denver Colorado Police Department. He was born and raised in a Christian home near Idaho Springs, Colorado, where he was sheltered from the harsher realities of life. Blake became a police officer with the lofty intentions of making the world a better place. As a police officer and later a homicide detective, Blake had a reputation of always solving the crimes. But now a deadly serial killer is loose in Denver and the surrounding area. He preys on young boys, wreaking havoc and unbridled fear in the community. It’s not safe to let your sons go outside to play. The killer taunts Blake mercilessly, and causes Blake’s faith to be shaken to its very core as he struggles to understand how God can allow this to happen.
