Up Against the Window

The first volume of the series that went on to spawn a mini-awakening of haibun (haiku prose) and haiga (haiku painting) in the Western world. This title includes work by 44 poets who reinvented the ancient art of haibun and kindled it into a vibrant new genre. Also included is 20 haiga by 15 of the best practitioners of this most difficult of genres, requiring mastery of two disparate skills.
