The book deals with the requirements - according to international law - for military actions against international terrorism. The authors mainly focus on the complexity of governmental law in terms of self-defense as well as the collective measures of the United Nations since 9/11/2001. Special attention is drawn to the possible development of international law through a new state practice as postulated by the national security strategy of the USA.
