Given the requirement to maintain certification within the speciality of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, concise compendiums of the curriculum of PM&R are an asset. The proliferation of PM&R journal and book publications testifies to the growth of the speciality in regard to our workforce as well as our clinical knowledge base. The format and content of this edition is derived from the ABPM&R outline certification booklets. The review book does not reproduce the outline contents in a rigid construct. The structure of the book contents and format are intended to survey the curriculum contents of PM&R in a coherent and meaningful manner. The book will likely be of value as well to PM&R residents preparing for their written and oral certification examinations.
