Abstract: This textbook focuses on discussing a rationale for planning and implementing health instruction. This information can be utilized by an instructor planning a comprehensive health curriculum in any teaching-learning environment (school, community, medical care or work-site setting). A series of questions are proposed as the basis for health instruction planning. Topics include: determining the content of health instruction; formulating goals and objectives for health instruction; utilizing appropr iate teaching strategies for health instruction; evaluating health instruction; and identifying competencies of those teaching health.
