North America

An atlas of the North American continent, with maps and pictures to give an overview of the continent in general and then a closer look at individual countries. The various maps show: population distribution, main religions and relative population densities; vegetation, temperature, rainfall, natural hazards; areas and type of land, sea and air pollution; endangered species, deforestation, environmenrtal hazards and disasters; raw materials, resources, main industries; agriculture, trading communities and standards of living; types of government, history, revolution and events. There are also illustrations of famous citizens and a time line.
