Sistahs

Sandra is running out of time. She doesn't know what more to do to fight the cancer that is killing her, the old hurts that have damaged her family, the generation gulf that is separating her from her daughter Assata. But she does know that cooking is women's magic, ritual magic, a way to heal. So she assembles the four women she loves most to make soup, in an attempt to reconnect and heal by accessing an ancestral memory space that is blighted by the legacy of slavery.
