Of special interest are the authors’ efforts to relate feather mineral concen­trations to the physical and chemical translocations of mineral elements from the rock substrates of the various breed­ing grounds of wild geese, to the soils and the parts of the ecosystems in which they live, to their final deposition in feather keratin.
