John Hockney, son of John Hockney and Anne, was born in 1810 in Laceby, England. He married Sarah Blackburn in 1832 in Bottesford, Lincolnshire, England. They had three children. He immigrated to America in 1837 without his family and settled in Wisconsin. He married Elizabeth Lyon in 1852 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He married Mary Shearer in 1872 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
