Lobsters on the Agenda is a contemporary novel of the 1950s in a West Highland setting and retains a refreshing air of topicality. In a small fishing village various conflicts of interest and loyalty are examined and discussed at a number of community gatherings, both formal and informal, during the course of a single week.
