From the author: "I am immersing myself in this supernal volume of poems to distract my soul which is scraped hollow by October, 2023 world events. Poem of Passions (1883), is a book that was passed down from my grandmother, Lucille Tuttle Vekre, who was also unwanted in the land of her ancestors' birth. I recited those poems during happier times. Now I am sharing this book of poetry with you."
