This report is written for those who want to understand the links between agriculture and air quality. It addresses in detail the amounts of agriculture-related greenhouse gas emission and possible ways of reducing such emission, with discussions limited mainly to agricultural production. It does not consider the fate of agricultural products, except for ethanol, once they have left the farm. Other current atmospheric issues considered include ground-level ozone, ammonia, ultraviolet radiation from the sun, aerosols, nitrogen oxides, pesticides, and farm-related odours.
