SHAHIH MUSLIM (صحيح مسلم)

The Sahih Muslim Book is a collection of hadiths compiled by Imam Muslim (full name: Abul Husain Muslim bin al-Hajjaj al-Naisaburi) who lived between 202 and 261 hijriahs. He is a student of Imam Bukhari.

This collection of hadith among Sunni Muslims is the second best collection after Sahih Bukhari. Of the approximately 300,000 traditions he collected, only about 4000 have been researched during his lifetime and can be accepted as authentic.

Sahih Muslim is divided into several books where each book consists of several chapters. The chapter title shows Imam Muslim's jurisprudence against the hadiths contained in it. Sahih Bukhari together with Sahih Muslim's book is referred to as ash-Shahihain (Two Sahih Kitab main reference). In compiling his Sahih book, Imam Muslim did not give numbers.
