This story suggests that just beneath Napa's veneer of great scenery, great foods and great wines lies an intrigue of spies, fraud and murder. FBI civilians, Clark dAvis and his wife Kathleen Royal become ensnared in this mishmash of dishonesty, manipulation and worse. A unique blend of official FBI policy, bucolic private life, international intrigue and individual ingenuity hurtles the characters toward an unpredictable climax literally in downtown Napa.
