What happens when our emotional scars are visible? This new comedy/drama seeks to answer this question in two acts. After their group therapy session is cancelled, various characters encounter mishaps & adventures over the course of one night as they attempt to make sense of their lives.Lost and Found is a two-act comedy/drama running approximately 85 minutes. The cast includes four women, five men, and one gender neutral role. The play uses simple props, basic costuming, and can be performed with or without the use of a set. On March 23rd, 2019, an excerpt of Lost and Found was published by Germ Magazine on their website (Link: http://www.germmagazine.com/lost-and-found-by-alyssa-ahle/).The play is set during present day, and follows various characters over the course of one evening as they encounter adventures and mishaps after the cancellation of their group therapy session. By having the characters' emotional scars manifest as physical impairments or habits, the play seeks to examine how human beings deal with the trauma of heartbreak. The act of confronting our emotional issues is sometimes seen as taboo in today's society. Lost and Found strives to change that, and remind everyone that no matter where we are in our lives, we all yearn for acceptance, hope, and love as these characters do.
