This book tells the story of the exploitation of Indian farmers by the Britishers and the success of 'Champaran Satyagraha' done by Gandhiji against it in 1917. The book effectively describes the compulsion of farmers, the inhuman conditions of their work, the then exploitative rent system and Gandhi's Satyagraha.
