Description of the author's travels, from Montreal by ship, to the Falkland Islands, to the Pacific islands, to the mouth of the Columbia River. The journey continued overland through the Rocky Mountains and the praries to Cumberland House (Manitoba), the Great Lakes, and eventually home to Montreal.
