Record of the Federal Dead

The U. S. Christian Commission was a private organization that furnished supplies and volunteers to aid Union troops during the Civil War. This book contains records from many cemeteries, large and small. The listings usually give the soldier's unit, and sometimes the cause of death and exact date.
