The Jewish Sermon in 14th Century Spain

The focus of this study of the medieval Jewish sermon is the "Derashop 'al Hatorah" of Joshua ibn Shu'eib, a 14th century Spanish rabbi. Horowitz uses the sermon literature to examine the dissemination of ideas and their penetration to wider levels of the population, and to provide a picture of the Jews of 14th century Spain.
