After an attack by an alien race – the Zentraedi – Earth’s Super-Dimension Fortress was forced to space-fold away, taking a chunk of Macross City with them. The SDF-1 is now in the midst of a long journey back to Earth.

The humans foiled a more recent attack by the arrogant Zentraedi Commander Khyron, but Breetai is hatching a new plan to infiltrate the SDF-1… In the meantime, Claudia is investigating how Captain Gloval died, and on Minmei’s birthday, Rick closes in for a kiss…
