Mountain

A new sci-fi short from Emily Riesbeck and Bitmap Prager about loss, grief, and the journey of friendship. A mousy pilgrim trudges through an overgrown square, vines crawl on the structures around her, an entire ecosystem built on what was left behind by those who came before. When someone dies, their ashes must be carried to Mountain's summit and spread, or their spirit will remain trapped in the physical plane, unable to pass on. Nobody understands this better than our Pilgrim, but the chatty mouse is an inexperienced traveler, and the mighty Mountain has no lack of peril. When she meets the cool and confident (and silent) Climber, she convinces them to help her reach the summit. But Climber has their own reasons to scale Mountain, and their strength alone won't get the two of them to the top.
