Pp. 7-30, "Critica del 'mondialismo', stereotipi antisemiti e cospirazionismo storico nella cultura politica del radicalismo di destra, " appeared previously in "La Rassegna Mensile di Israel" 65 (1999). Pp. 59-89, "Le ciprie di Auschwitz: Aspetti della pubblicistica negazionista in Italia, " deal with the Italian radical right's reception, translation, and publication of works by Holocaust deniers. Holocaust denial became a topic in the discourse of the radical right in Italy only in the 1960s, when the movement became important in Italian political life. Works by Paul Rassinier, Richard Harwood, Richard Verral, and Leon Degrelle were translated during that period. The 1980s saw the publication of Robert Faurisson's works and finally, in the 1990s, Ernst Nolte became the radical right's most important reference. The publication of these works was part of an effort throughout Europe to present Holocaust denial not as an ideological opinion but as a result of objective historical research.
