Memoirs of the Confederate War for Independence

Published in 1867, these are the memoirs of Prussian born Heros Von Borcke, who was granted a leave of absence from his military position in Prussia so that he could travel to the Confederate States of America and take part in the war for the South's independence. Heros Von Borcke was appointed and affirmed Major in the Confederate States cavalry by the Confederate Congress in 1862.
