Anticipating and managing the fast pace of technological change is central to the role of academic technologists. Librarians, on the other hand, are skilled at navigating an overwhelming abundance of information. In conjunction, these two roles can pool knowledge and resources to provide both pedagogical and student-centered support that is both current and comprehensive. These two similar yet distinct Academic departments exist within the majority of university and college campuses. This book will introduce some these efforts and focus on how librarians and instructional technologists could use this guide as a possible springboard for future collaborations.
