Stephen Lee Neal, addiction, education and employment specialist: Stephen Neal was born in 1962 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In order to conquer his personal battle with addiction, he attended the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Maryland and Georgetown University. He also gained experience serving in the military. As an addiction, education and employment specialist in his private counseling practice, Neal Medical Systems Inc., Stephen helps others conquer addiction. As an "intellectual addict," he has personally defeated the madness of addiction. Thomas M. Howard M.D.: Dr. Howard graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1975 and the Uniform Services of the Health Science School of Medicine in 1984. In 1987, he completed his family practice residency at DeWitt Army Community Hospital, with subsequent assignments at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Erlangen, Germany. He joined the faculty at DeWitt ACH in 1993. He completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at USUHS. He was the residency program director at DeWitt from 1997-2000 and has been the chief of family practice, associate program director for the sports fellowship, and medical director of the Family Health Center of Fort Belvoir from 2000 to the present. Dr. Howard has been published numerous times in referred journals dealing with family and sports medicine. He is co-author of Blackwell's Primary Care Essentials: Sports Medicine. Dr. Howard has participated in several research protocols on self-help tobacco cessation programs and has organized support groups for tobacco cessation. He has extensive clinical experience with in- and outpatient alcohol detoxification and withdrawal.
