Describes measures and initiatives taken by the Government of Canada and the governments of the provinces and territories with respect to articles 6 to 15 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. Those articles cover such matters as the right to self-determination, the right to work, working conditions, trade union rights, social security, protection of the family, the right to an adequate standard of living, the right to physical and mental health, educational rights, and the right to take part in cultural life and to enjoy benefits of scientific progress and the protection of authors' interests. Measures and initiatives are arranged by article number, first for Canada and then for each province or territory, with reference to relevant legislation and to court cases, as applicable.
