The River

Hong is bored with watching television and is staring out of her parents' shop window when her friend Ming presents her with a handwritten book. Hong begins to read and the story of a young girl Xian unfolds as she journey's through rural China carrying a family treasure to her grandparents home. Suggested level: primary.
