An incredible scientific discovery.
A mysterious disappearance.
A challenge of intergalactic proportions.
Set in a uchronic near future and following a narrative arc of over twenty years with continuous time jumps, "Daughter of Light" narrates Nya's events from childhood, but in particular investigates her evolution from childhood to adulthood, the affirmation of her personality and the awareness of being a woman, and beyond, underlining the importance of the parent-child relationship. Alternating the first-person story of the protagonist with the third-person narration of parallel and tangential events such as those of Cohle and Ava, not at all secondary, "Daughter of Light" explores the themes of time travel and parallel universes, raising questions of transcendental nature, affirming the importance of diversity and female emancipation.
