Schenck and Related Families in New Netherlands

Roelof Martense Schenck (1630?-1704) emigrated with his brother Jan from the Netherlands and settled in New Amersfoort, Long Island, in 1650. Record chiefly lists ancestral and related families of Jane Simpson, daughter of John Simpson (1757-1800) and Mary Schenck Simpson (1767-1857). She was born in 1786 at Amwell, New Jersey, and married William Smith, M.D. in 1814 at Charleston, New York. They had eight children, 1814-1830. She died in 1865 at Loda, Illinois.
