The book is divided into two parts. The first part surveys important insecticidal compounds occurring in various living organisms, with special emphasis on those which acted as lead molecules for the development of more potent and commercially viable products. The second part is what may be called a catalogue section listing structural and biological information on known naturally occurring insecticides. For quick reference this part has been divided into compounds derived from higher plants, micro-organisms, animals and marine flora and fauna. Within each of these sections the compounds have been arranged in a systematic chemical fashion. It is hoped that this book will fulfil a real need of practising chemists and biologists.
