This is a print on demand edition of a hard to find publication. In 12/08, Pres. George W. Bush provided financial assistance to GM and Chrysler -- $13.4 billion to GM and $4 billion to Chrysler from the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP). Ford did not need such assistance immediately but might require a line of credit in 2009. A further $6 billion was loaned to GM Acceptance Corp. (GMAC), and $1.5 billion to Chrysler Financial, the two manufacturers¿ respective credit affiliates.
