Complete Global Service Data for Orthopaedic Surgery 2002

The Complete Global Service Data for Orthopaedic Surgery, 2002 Edition, includes more than 1,450 global service packages for orthopaedic CPT codes. Each package contains a list of inclusions and exclusions for billing. This year, we added 38 new global service data packages as well as two packages for existing CPT codes. In addition, 72 changes to existing CPT codes or global service packages were made. The two-volume set is organized into sections by anatomy, and a new section was added that includes five new emerging technology codes. Each global service package contains the Medicare global fee period. Add-on and modifier-51 exempt codes are noted. The book was edited by the AAOS Committee on CPT/ICD Coding.
