The Alaska Diary of Adelbert Von Chamisso, Naturalist on the Kotzebue Voyage, 1815-1818

Louis Charles Adèlaïde de Chamisso de Boncourt, better known under his German name of Adelbert von Chamisso served as a naturalist on the Kotzebue Voyage 1815-1818. Excerpts from his diary in this volume include all those which deal with Alaska or Alaskan waters. Also includes descriptions of plants, birds and sea mammals encountered as well as native Eskimos.
