Worlds have always had evil and darkness amongst them and when a new evil escapes it's own realm and arrives here in ours it's only going to want one thing. It will want to create it's own new world of darkness, destruction and death. A world where it can control all evil and destroy all that is good. However, this new evil didn't arrive here in our world on it's own, it was followed by those who want to see the end of supernatural creatures and an end to those that had plagued their realm for so long. They are intent on stopping this evil from repeating the same fate that fell to their world.
