Pp. 13-83 contain texts by Primo Levi including presentations at conferences, prefaces to books, contributions to journals, declarations at memorials, and interviews. Levi reflects about racism, and about elucidation of his camp experience and creation of the memory of it, life in the camps, relationships among the prisoners, and resistance. Pp. 87-123 present nine brief items about Levi, discussing the witnessing aspect of his work, as well as its reception by the younger generation.
