Catalog-book that of life and artistic legacy of largely ignored modernist artist, craftswoman, printmaker, puppet designer and puppeteer Lola Cueto (Maria Dolores Rivas de Cueto (b. México 1897-1978) one of the first women to study in the Art Academy of San Carlos and one of the most prolific and versatile artists of the Mexican 20th century. Her artwork was not openly revolutionary but was representative of modern Mexico; paradoxically an art expression that rediscovered folkart and Pre-Columbian traditions. Her long artistic trajectory included almost all plastic creative manifestations along with creations in stain glass, for the Teatro Guiñol (Puppet theater), tapestry, the art of "papel picado" (color paper crafts) and other decorated folkart expressions.
