The Descendants of Jacob Efaw and Mary Suthard

Jacob Efaw (1786-1860), son of David Efaw and Catherine Climan (Clyman), lived in Monongalia Co., Virginia before moving his family to Franklin Twp., Ross Co., Ohio. He married Mary Suthard (1796-1854) in 1814 according to the marriage records of the circuit court of Fauquier Co., Virginia. They had ten children. All of the children eventually moved west, some as far as California, Oregon and Washington. Jacob Efaw is buried in Trowbridge Cemetery, Helt Twp., Vermillion Co., Indiana. Descendants live in Illinois, Indiana, Washington, Kansas, Iowa and elsewhere.
